Triple Boot – XP, Ubuntu and Vista Confusion?
Hi.
I already have XP and Ubuntu 7.10 installed on my PC, and I was planning on also installing Vista today, though after searching a few pages, I noticed some problems with the Ubuntu GRUB Loader.
Basically it means that installing Vista would override the linux grub loader, so I’ll only be able to boot up XP and Vista, but not ubuntu because it’s loader is gonna be deleted.
A fix for this is the install ubuntu after the other two, but isn’t there any other option for me? Or if I do this and reinstall ubuntu after vista, will all my files and configurations (especially with compiz fusion) be intact?

Yeah, Windows isn’t very good when it comes to multiboot systems :/ Like you found, its best to install the Windows first, let them mess up the bootloader, and install Linux last to fix it all.
As you’ve already got Linux loaded up, you can just reinstall GRUB afterwards, so no worries.
