What happens to a sunflower seed when it is put in water for weeks?
sunflower seed in water only (no soil)
Will it grow ? ?
If it hasn’t been salted, roasted or otherwise treated it will sprout in a few days. If left in the water for weeks it would drown. Once it sprouts it needs to be removed and planted. Don’t use just water; put it in a moist paper towel for the sprouting operation. Just water by itself isn’t a good way to start the process.
