I had an eight month african grey and i let it outside and it flew off and its been three days?

and ive also left the cage outside just in case it comes back, ive been really attached to this Parrot and now i don’t know what to do, can someone please help me. i spent 3 hours looking for him.

the thing is he was on a rope attached to his leg and the other end was on my wrist and somehow a car went past and he flew and the rope untied and now i hnt got a clue where he is

hes only eight months, does anyone even thing he will remember his house and come back?
its been three days and someone please helpp.
the rope was off him, he has no rope on him now because it came off his leg not my wrist
it wasnt three days since i had it, its three days since its been missing. ive had it for 7 months

The fact that your bird has a rope dangling from its leg almost makes a tragedy a sure thing. The poor bird will probably end up tangled in a tree . A bird harness might have prevented this escape. They are easily available in almost every on line bird store. Also you might have clipped the wings and probably recall training is a good idea. The only thing you can do now is advertise in newspapers, on bulletin boards in public places, call vets offices and see if they have reports of found birds,offer a reward for his return , ask at your local animal rescue places. Since you were walking ask around the area. Put up posters where permitted. Hire a couple kids to go around asking if anyone found the bird with a reward if they find him.

Birds can get caught in the wind and be blown many miles away. You will be very lucky if you see the bird again.
