need help with hatching pheasant eggs!!!?
i put the eggs in the incubator on wednesday 5-12-10…when should i stop turning them? what temperature should it be when they are hatching? what temperature should it be when they have hatched? and how can i know if they are still alive, are there any pictures of candled pheasant eggs so i know that mine are still alive?? thanks
98 to 100 degrees for incubation. Same temp for the first few days after hatching. Stop turning the eggs every 4 hours by 1/4….on the third day before they are to hatch. Keep a damp cloth or SHALLOW dish of water for humidity– (no more than 1/2 inch deep or the chicks could drown when they hatch.

Pheasant Pigeon $76.47 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Pheasant Pigeon (Otidiphaps nobilis) is a large terrestrial pigeon found in the primary rainforests of New Guinea and nearby islands. It ranges primarily over hilly and lower mountain areas, but can also be found in lowlands. The pheasant pigeon is an unusual pigeon of uncertain affinities within the Columbidae, and is monotypic within the genus Otidiphaps (Gould, 1870), and the subfamily Otidiphabinae. Its scientific name makes reference to its similarities to the bustard family (Otidae). Its common name reflects its adaptation to living on the forest floor in the fashion of a South East Asian pheasant, which it resembles in external morphology, particularly in its laterally compressed tail and the rounded wings. No galliform birds occur in New Guinea, and the pheasant pigeon has filled the ecological niche of a partridge or small pheasant (while the larger Goura crowned pigeons have a lifestyle similar to larger pheasants, grouse or turkeys). It is a highly secretive species, feeding on seeds and fallen fruits. It nests on the ground below trees and bushes, laying one egg that it incubates for around 4 weeks. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. USS Pheasant (Am61) $79.66 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles USS Pheasant (AM61/MSF61) was an Aukclass minesweeper named after the Pheasant, a large game bird found in the United States and other countries. Pheasant was laid down on 22 July 1942 at the Defoe Shipbuilding Company in Bay City, Michigan; launched on 24 October 1942, sponsored by Mrs. Harry J. Defoe, wife of the shipyard owner; and commissioned on 12 December 1942, with Lieutenant Commander John B. Burnham in command. Following fitting out at Boston, Massachusetts, Pheasant helped to protect convoys along the eastern and gulf coasts of the United States beginning in early 1943. Immediately preceding the Normandy invasion of 6 June 1944, she swept dangerous mines from fire support areas used by the battleships Texas and Arkansas. From 29 June until her departure for Oran, Algeria, on 15 July 1944, she cleared areas to be used for the invasion of Cherbourg, France. Later, in the Mediterranean, she made exploratory sweeps prior to the invasion of southern France. She swept successfully in the Mediterranean until May 1945 when she received orders to return to the United States. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F.
