Heated bird perches, any answers please?

When a thermo bird perch heats up can you actually feel the heat or is it for the bird only to feel it, as i have one but it does not feel as though any heat is running through
Wacky, Its meant for my cockatiel only, what you mention is far too big for me to do so if you have another idea your welcome. What i am asking mainly is can you actually feel the heat from these perches as mine does not seem to heat up, so maybe mine is broke. As for being unsafe at the moment i can’t comment on that but i will get further info to make sure so thankyou.

You should feel some heat. I have two of these perches one for my Jenday conure and one for my parrotlett I have had no problems with either of the perches. It will be warmer at the thicker end than the thinner one but not hot to the touch. I live in Alaska and the birds are in the home not a shed. Stinker and Demon both love their heated perch. They have no problems with their feet either. As with all things you need to check them regularly to make sure they are working correctly. Since you do not feel any heat your perch is probably not working.
