My green cheek conure want come out of his cage?

I have a green cheek conure and he use to come out of his cage all the time and play on his play gym or perch on the top of my laptop but now when I give him the up command he does not step up on my finger like he use to he runs to the back of his cage he is currently molting I think I mean he has a lot of pin feathers coming in and when I took him to the vet about 2 weeks ago she showed me some blood feathers on his wings could this be the problem or do I need to take him back to the doctor.

Try giving him some Conure safe foods (fruits)and ask your vet what sort of grain supplement will help his feathers.

Try putting a shallow small bowl of water in his cage so he can take a bath that might make his feathers feel a bit better…They tend to get moody in general when they molt….it is sort of like pms (lol)

Also he could be molting for any reason such as the time of the year, stress, lack of important dietary foods, allergy, or any number of things birds are tricky.

If he gets lethargic I would definitely take him back to the doctor IMMEDIATELY.
