we are making a veggie garden?

we are making a veggie garden for the first time, we have our veggies, herb plants, soil & liquid feed. The one thing we are not sure on is how deep in the ground the plants have to be & if they need to be in a raised bed ( Plants are now approx 5cm high ). The veggie plants we have lettuce, tomato, thai basil, basil, parsley etc. Please help

Raised garden beds are useful to help improve drainage. So, if you are on boggy ground or soil that doesn’t drain well, then yes, raise your beds.

Otherwise, do not worry about it unless problems arise and drainage could be a cause.

Try to plant out the seedlings to the same level as they were in the seedling pot. Ideally you are transplanting them with fine roots and thus soil attached,
