why does a quaker parrot look like its having a seizure when it eats foods that aren’t its normal bird food?

like when it bites into a fresh fruit or vegetable. or a cracker or anything it starts flapping its wings and flying into stuff and spins around on one foot twitching. has this happened to anyone else?

As a breeder and owner of Quaker Parrots I have never seen this. Mine will drop the food, or even fling it across the cage or floor and immediately go wipe off their beak. If you think that it is having a seizure, you should take it to an avian vet and ask if it could be a calcium deficiency. Lack of calcium can cause birds to have seizures.

Another option may be to make some birdie bread full of veggies. Even my pickiest eaters will devour their veggies this way.
