can u keep budgies with finches ?

hey, can u keep budgies with finches in a aviary ? couse last time i had budgies with finches only 1 budgie was makeing the finches bleed but i think thay were fighting over the finch nest boxes

mmmm. Lots of people do, but they report casualties, both finches and budgies, from different factors. A few have no problems at all, but they seem to be living under the direct auspices of St. Francis.
I’d screen off part of your aviary (double screen so little beaks can’t get to even smaller toes) or put up another beside it…here in San Diego we have a couple of aviary builders who are very reasonable on Craigslist, maybe you’ll be lucky to find someone like that in your area. I know you probably know this but you’ll want to make sure that the screening is bird safe and the wood not treated with harmful chemicals and that they can’t get to chew anything else toxic involved in the construction of it. I’d throw a couple solar panels on top of the whole thing for your heating bill. Remember you can always plan for your dream aviary. Birds can make do amazingly well, so long as you make them feel secure and loved.
