Do the fancy hummingbird feeders really work?
I am thinking of getting one of those fancy glass feeders that are not blazing red and yellow, something like this:

However, I am concerned as to whether these actually work? Do hummingbirds find them as well as the plastic ones?
Also, if you know of a good place to get under $20 hummingbird feeders, preferably without any yellow( because yellow attracts wasps) and with a perch, please let me know as well.

Hummingbirds do prefer brightly colored feeders (at least the part where they actually get the nectar). In fact, a common problem in suburban areas is that hummingbirds are attracted to the red emergency release handles on automatic garage door openers. So, when you leave the door open, there’s a good chance a hummingbird could wander in there and they’re surprisingly difficult to get them out (they get all disoriented).
But, I would think this one should be sufficient. And, I wouldn’t worry about a perch. Hummingbirds eat just fine while hovering and they probably wouldn’t use the perch, anyway.
