door latches are not closing?

My rear door latches are not closing. They move freely but the door just bounces back open. It is cold outside but i don’t think it frozen because it moves freely.
they aren’t stuck in the down position. They move up and down freely. Even when i put them up and try to close the door, the latch doesn’t lock around the pin.

You have got the locks on. Hold the handle up as you would when you are opening the door. With the handle up take a small screwdriver and push up on the part of the latch that is down. This will reset the latch in the open position. Kind of hard to explain but easy to fix. Just takes a minute. You will see it has two pieces that close over the peg to close the door.
