Is the dell mini 10 netbook alright for school use?

I just wanted to know, before I consider buying, are those dell netbooks (the pretty colourful ones) alright to use for school things? Like do they have microsoft word and powerpoint or at least something similar? If not, how can I add these programs? I already have the microsoft office professional 2007 program CDs on the family computer, but is there anyway I could put this onto the dell mini 10 netbook, because I know it does not have a CD drive and I am not sure if it’s got a big enough memory to hold it. And also, if I was going to somehow figure out a way to put just one of my Sims 2 games onto it, how would I do it with no CD drive, and would adding Microsoft office or this sims game limit the netbooks lifespan? Please help!
