what can i feed my umbrella cockatoo?

He actually chewed a hole through his chest. He just got home from the vet today from having it stitched up and now he will not eat or drink anything because of the collar they put on him, its a large plastic collar that looks like a lamp shade to keep him from picking at the sore and he refuses to even drink water from a syringe, when we make him he promptly throws it back up. Help me please? what can i do to make him eat until i can take him to another bird vet???

Hopefully he should get used to the collar soon, try some of his favorite foods, or spoon feeding him oatmeal, or banana
