Cockatoo ATTACK!!! Please help?

I am not a novice bird owner. Have had birds all my life. But, I was given a 3year old Bare Eyed Cockatoo for Christmas and this IS my first Too. He’s perfect!!
EXCEPT for the fact that he has bonded to me and proceeds to VICIOUSLY attack anyone else who comes near him or me. My kids have scars and my wife currently bleeding. He jump off my shoulder and attack her face. He chase my children around and the he laugh
PLEASE! WHAT DO I DO? How am I supposed to act when he attack? It very vicious! Then he laughs and “kisses” to make up.
So far I just lock him in cage when naughty and say “No!” . He no like because he allowed with door open all day most time.
He gonna REALLY injure someone.. he chase and go for face.

I have had a BE2 since Christmas also… 12 y/o female….

What i’ve learned is that they can be hormonal… restrict pettting to only the head… do not allow on shoulder… thry not to overstimulate….. when the bird has bad behavior either cover the cage and ignor or get a smaller second cage to put in another room for time outs when misbehaving… they may throw a temper tantrum so what till its over b4 bring back to main cage… just like a child praise good behavior….
