Why is my female canary pulling my male canarys tail?

We have only had our Avery set up for a week or so, and our female canary keeps building multiple nests and pulling my male canary’s tail? Is this some kind of mating sign?

P.S, Obviously i do not know too much about birds, or keeping birds, so any other useful info regarding this matter would be very much appreciated.

Maybe she is irritated to the male canary,because he might try to mate persistently.
A female bird is apt to concentrate on building nests ,warm eggs and hatch chickens after the middle of the mating season.
If you give them egg foods or something which are too much nutritious ,why don’t you stop it? High calorie foods makes a male bird so energetic,and he wants to mate.
