My budgies keep throwing the eggs out of the nest box?
I think its the male thats doing it. He goes into the nest box sometimes, so could he be breaking them? They are fertile.
I heard somewhere that I should separate them, but he feeds her so wouldn’t that be a lot of strain on her?
What can I do to stop them breaking the eggs?
The male is all white, and the female is a yellow-face cinnamon sky blue. (She looks greenish.)
Any idea what colours the babies will be?
They are in a huge cage, just the two of them, and they get fed Harrisons Organic bird pellets, veg and some seed (lots of different types mixed). And I have plenty of experience with birds. I will probably keep all the babies, the cage is big enough for lots. And I have other big cages I can use if necessary.
I have another male, he is light green pied, but he is only about 12 weeks old. I don’t suppose I could breed him to the hen?
I know they are fertile because I see the dead chicks in the broken eggs!!
