Does this cage look big enough for a severe macaw?

Is it big enough?
There is a cage exactly the same, only it has a dome top that opens up and you can make it into a perch. Would that be better?
Well, what do you propose I do when I am gone or at night? I am getting a HUGE playstand, but I need a cage for when I can’t supervise my MINI macaw.
My school recently adopted out a severe macaw and it was in a cage that is slightly bigger than that. It also featured a dome top to allow more space to move and hang toys and such. Something like this would work well…

As with all companion parrots, its always wise to get the largest cage you can afford. Mini macaws like the severe still have activity level and space requirments as the large macaws, probably more. Go with a larger, dome top cage with the approprate bar space (1 inch)
But if you wish to keep a severe in that cage, its perfectly fine as long as bar spacing is ok. Good luck!
