How big can a canary cage be?

A cage for one canary should be at least 20 inches wide with 2 perches…one at each end of the cage. This is the bare minimum. 24 inches wide or wider is much better. Now the bird can flutter back and forth between the two perches and get plenty of exercise.

Keep in mind, that the bigger the cage- the better! It’s always best to buy the biggest cage you can afford.
