Any Other bird similar to meyers parrot?

I was wondering if there is any other type of parrot similar to the meyers parrot. They are so sweet and not loud (like sun conures). I love the meyers parrot and soon i will be adding a parrot to the family. I would like to explore all of the possibilities, so if anybody has suggestions that would be great! Also if anybody knows anything about indian ringnecks as pets please add.

Definitely some good suggestions here. I considered a Meyers as well, before settling on a Dusky Conure, but if noise is an issue as you’ve said, then a conure is not the way to go for you, lol.

I also considered a Senegal and a Pionus (both suggested in earlier answers), but do know that all three of these birds are generally one-person birds; they will often bond with their favorite human and be wary/aggressive towards others. All birds are individuals, of course, but these are tendencies of these three species.

One other aspect you’ll want to consider is life span. I don’t remember the life span of Meyers or of Ringnecks; Senegals were a little longer-lived than conures, but Pionus if I recall correctly can live upwards of 50-60 years. That’s why I ruled them out: I wasn’t comfortable with a commitment that long.
